| For Immediate Release Ernie Hardeman’s Pig Roast in the Park WOODSTOCK – Today Ernie Hardeman, Oxford MPP, announced that his annual Pig Roast in the Park will be taking place on Saturday August 6. “I want to invite all the residents of Oxford to join me for this free family event,” said Hardeman. “I hope that people will come and bring their friends and family to enjoy great Oxford County pork.” This annual event attracts hundreds of people who enjoy pork, hamburgers, baked beans and potato salad in Woodstock’s beautiful Southside Park. The pig roast also features music and helium balloons for children. This year the pig roast will be taking place in Southside Park’s boathouse pavilion. Seating in the pavilion is limited so attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair if possible. “I appreciate the chance to talk to the many people from across Oxford who come to this event each year,” said Hardeman. “The informal setting provides a great opportunity to meet with constituents over some good food to hear what they are thinking and talk about how we can continue to strengthen our communities.” - 30 -
